The aim of the project is to develop industrial and academic activities in peripheral regions in Chiang Mai, Thailand and Galilee, Israel, in the field of Biotechnology in order to contribute and develop its communities.
The project will be established with the participation of a (or several) Thai private company that has expressed its interest in further development of the project, and even taking it under its management, at a later date.
The development of the project in both of these rural regions will be based on examining opportunities and application of the results in the following directions:
- Entrepreneurship & application of Biotechnological know-how
- Unique Resource Survey of indigenous plants and microorganisms that will lead to commercial application in the food additive, veterinary, drug and pharmaceutical applications
- Ecology and environmental Biotechnology based on local needs and regulations
- Develop human resources in Biotechnology in those rural regions.
