Background
Cooperation with Tel Hai Academic College for B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees
Migal researchers are the instructional backbone of the Faculty of Science at Tel Hai Academic College, and research students at Migal constitute the majority of teaching assistants in the classrooms and laboratories of Tel Hi science departments. Tel Hai students conduct B.Sc. final projects and M. Sc. thesis projects at Migal labs, under the supervision of its scientists. The unique link with Migal has made it possible to implement most of the wide range of science and technology departments at Tel Hai, and especially the departments of biotechnology, environmental sciences, nutrition sciences and food sciences.
Migal researchers provide the leading staff of the departments and in recent years, the deans of the science faculty have been Migal researchers. This link has become a central factor in the preparation and authorization of the Department of Biotechnology Master's Program with and without thesis. The program is anchored in the authorization of the Planning and Budgeting Committee and the Council for Higher Education. The heads of all 14 research laboratories are certified by the Council of Higher Education to supervise Master's degree students at Tel Hai. This cooperation actually creates the essence of the college research and instruction.
It should be noted that the Academic College at Tel Hai is one of only three colleges in Israel that grants research Master's degrees.
