The Kick-Off RIS Event in June

The launching event of the RIS project took place in the Galilee with delegates from The Galilee Development Authority, Israel; Steibeis Europa Zentrum, from Stuttgart, Germany; Institute of Baltic Studies, from Tartu, Estonia; HS Anhalt University, from Burnburg, Germany; Migal, from the Galilee, Israel and CPE-MATI, from the Galilee, Israel.

This was a 4 days event that included RIS internal meetings for developing the program and discussions as well as dissemination of the ideas.
A Conference with about 50 delegates from the Galilee took place on the 14th of June – with business man and women, industrialists, researchers, lawyers, entrepreneurs and the visitors from Europe. In addition to the lectures from the experts from abroad it also included a Group discussion to examine possible implementation and a Welcome party and Dinner at Kibbutz Kfar-Giladi Hotel.

The RIS Kick-Off Event continued with a Field tour of the visitors to the Northern part of Israel, visiting Industrial Parks, Incubators, meeting industries, researchers and entrepreneurs in the Galilee, as well as the agriculture activities and tourism in the Galilee.

Another important event of dissemination was the 3rd Galilee Conference at Karmiel’s Braude College in which the Prime Minister, Minister of Industry, Trade and Employment, Minister of Treasury, Minister of Education, Sport and Culture, Deputy Minister of the Vice Prime Minister Ministry participated and in which the participants lectured about the project.
RIS closing meeting took place at MIGAL where decisions on activities and timetable were concluded.

This is only the beginning and we hope to develop co-operations and joint activities with our partners from Europe in several fields.
