Israel is Chair-country of the new EUREKA Umbrella EUROAGRI+.

The Israeli EUREKA Office at MATIMOP, together with the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Agriculture, started its new activities as the chair-country of the EUREKA Umbrella - E! 3038 EUROAGRI+, endorsed at the EUREKA’s NPC/HLG Meeting in Aarhus, Denmark on April 2003. Up to now Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Finland, Croatia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland decided to join the Umbrella, other countries like Austria and Sweden declared already their interest to join.
EUROAGRI+ covers the technologically interdependent sectors of agriculture, food, and feed production. Technologies like biotechnology, genomics, proteomics, conservation technology and tracking and traceability are providing new challenges in these areas.
Dr. David Cohen from MIGAL is the Secretary of EUROAGRI+.
