In light of the ongoing security situation, an impressive delegation from Germany arrived in Israel, organized by ELNET, with the aim of fostering collaboration and initiatives in research and innovation.
The delegation, led by Dr. Anton Hofreiter, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee, and Carsten Ovens, CEO of ELNET Germany, met with senior officials from the Israel Innovation Authority and representatives from the MIGAL Research Institute.
During a meeting in Tel Aviv, Prof. Uri Mar-Chaim from MIGAL presented the institute's ongoing activities despite the challenges of war, as well as the unique difficulties resulting from the evacuation of Kiryat Shmona and its northern laboratories.
MIGAL's research teams continue to operate from various labs across the country, striving to develop groundbreaking solutions in food, health, and environmental sustainability as part of their commitment to finding sustainable innovations.
The delegation was impressed by the extensive work of the Israel Innovation Authority and MIGAL and engaged in discussions about advancing future collaborations to strengthen Israel's position as a global leader in research and high-tech.
