MIGAL and Tel-Hai to lead and establish Israel’s cutting-edge national agricultural data infrastructure
26-12-2025

MIGAL and Tel-Hai have been selected to lead and establish Israel’s national agricultural data infrastructure, with the support of an investment from the Israel Innovation Authority. The initiative is designed to accelerate AI-driven innovation in agriculture by creating a unified, high-quality data foundation for the sector.

Today, agricultural data in Israel is often scattered across multiple sources and formats. This project will consolidate and optimize those datasets into a single, powerful national database—enabling more accurate analytics, improved risk management, predictive insights, and faster, evidence-based decision-making across the entire agri-food ecosystem, from soil to plate. The infrastructure will support a wide range of users, including farmers, researchers, startups, and technology companies.

The project is being developed in collaboration with leading partners: GrowingIL, Agmatix, Zemach Agricultural Technologies Ltd., and Netafim, with support from the Israel Innovation Authority, the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
