MIGAL – Galilee Research Institute is proud to announce an important transition in leadership and institutional development.
After more than six years of impactful service, David Zigdon has concluded his tenure as CEO. Under his leadership, MIGAL advanced as a leading applied research institute, fostering innovation and regional growth, despite highly challenging circumstances. We extend our deep appreciation for his dedication and achievements.
Succeeding him is Ori Ben Herzel, previously holding the VP of Value Creation position at MIGAL. Ori is an experienced business executive with deep ties to the Galilee and decades of managerial roles in Agtech and farming industries. His appointment marks a new phase of strategic growth, aimed at strengthening MIGAL’s role in shaping the future University of the Galilee.
This leadership change coincides with another major development on the way to creating a regional university: MIGAL has officially joined Tel-Hai College. Supported by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Galilee Development Company, this move is part of a broader national vision to consolidate research and academic excellence in the region to create opportunities for growth and evolution.
Together, these changes set the stage for MIGAL’s continued advancement—locally and globally—as we enter this exciting new chapter.
