The Business Development Unit at MIGAL Galilee Research Institute is seeking a Collaboration Manager.
The position includes three main components: business development, intellectual property, and marketing & public relations.
Position Description:
Business Development:
• Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and potential industry partners in Israel and abroad, in alignment with the goals of MIGAL’s business unit.
• Work closely with researchers on projects with commercialization potential - from identifying opportunities and securing intellectual property protection to project execution.
• Prepare business plans and market analyses, while continuously monitoring and identifying local and global trends.
• Support and oversee projects מול the Israel Innovation Authority and other funding bodies - including tracking progress and ensuring execution according to approved work plans.
Intellectual Property:
• Administrative coordination of the patent portfolio - including timeline tracking, payment monitoring, and documentation.
• Consolidation and preparation of recommendations to support decision-making processes related to intellectual property.
Marketing & Public Relations:
• Responsibility for the institute’s website and social media platforms - collecting and presenting content in accordance with MIGAL’s marketing strategy.
• Organizing and producing conferences, hosting delegations and investors.
• Presenting projects - preparing materials, refining content, and delivering presentations in various professional forums.
Position Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.
• High motivation, initiative, determination, and ability for independent learning - mandatory.
• Experience supporting projects in the life sciences field- an advantage.
• Academic background in relevant fields (science, law, economics, business) - an advantage.
• Excellent command of English - mandatory.
Position Scope:
Full-time position, based at MIGAL’s offices in Kiryat Shmona.
The role is part of the Business Development team and reports to the VP of Business Development.
