The research group headed by Dr. Assaf Chen, who deals with precision agriculture and remote sensing, is looking for a research assistant with a degree in computer science.
Join a young and dynamic research group, which is at the forefront of research in the fields of remote sensing and machine learning.
The role will involve developing deep learning systems, which will include integration throughout the entire process, starting from the image preparation stage, developing models for identifying and analyzing the results, and using tools for processing images from various sources (RGB, Lidar, NIR, TIR).
Job scope: Hybrid-flexible (the role is flexible in terms of part-time work, and it is possible to work remotely and from the office)
Skills and prerequisites:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in programming - required
- A master's degree - an advantage
- High programming skills
- Programming knowledge in Python - required
- Creativity, thinking outside the box, ability to respond to and solve complex problems
- English - ability High level reading and writing – a must
- Independence, reliability, diligence, ability to work in a team
Required professional skills:
For a project dealing with visual object recognition:
- Experience in image processing, machine learning, GIS (working with ARCGIS), spatial models – an advantage
- Familiarity with machine learning systems and deep learning in a Python environment such as PyTorch – an advantage
