Prof. Izhaki came to MIGAL after serving as the VP Research and Development of the University of Haifa from 2016-2023. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology at Jerusalem’s Hebrew University, and specializes in plant-animal interactions, with a focus on the role of secondary metabolites and bacteria in fruits and nectar on seed dispersal, pollination and plant fitness.
