MSc/Ph.D. students: Genome-wide CRISP

We are looking for enthusiastic MSc or Ph.D. students to join the lab of Dr. Ofri Levi, temporarily located at the Technion, and part of the MIGAL Galilee Research Institute in Kiryat Shmona.

As a student in our lab, you will engage in cutting-edge research projects, contributing to our understanding of fungal resistance mechanisms and the development of novel antifungal strategies.

Dr. Levi's lab specializes in:

• Conducting genome-wide CRISPRi screens to identify drug resistance mechanisms in fungi 
• Identifying molecular mechanisms leading to fungal resistance to antifungal drugs 
• Discovering natural compounds with antifungal properties 
• Developing CRISPR technologies for fungi

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in molecular biology and biotechnology 
• Previous laboratory experience is an advantage 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field (for MSc candidates) 
• Master’s degree in a relevant field (for Ph.D. candidates)
